              The Quality Improvement Funding Support program makes funding available to increase wages for eligible child day care staff.

              Innovation Voucher Fund $80,000
              The primary purpose of the Innovation Capacity Development Initiative of the RIF is to increase the province’s capacity to do applied research. You can apply for NBIF funding of up to $500,000, to a maximum of 33% of the total cost of the project. If a researcher is not successful in obtaining funding from a national agency, they may request up to $10,000 to fund 50% of the cost to strengthen their application for one additional round.

              Music Industry Development – Emerging Artist Grant $1,200
              This program is for emerging artists in New Brunswick that have never recorded an album.
              Stingray Stimulus Plan $15,000,000
              Radio advertising grants for local Canadian businesses in Stingray radio markets.
              Music Industry Development – Market Access Grant $10,000
              The Market Access component of the Music Industry Development (MID) program assists music industry professionals with costs associated with showcasing, touring, professional development, and market development activities.
              Music Industry Development – Sound Recording Grant $10,000
              This program supports for-profit businesses whose principal activities involve producing and marketing New Brunswick music content sound recordings.
              Energy Smart Commercial Buildings Retrofit Program $78,000
              The program provides up to $3,000 towards an evaluation to determine potential energy efficiency upgrades in a commercial building, and a maximum of $75,000 towards the energy retrofitting project costs.

              Taxpayers building or buying a new house or substantially renovated one that will be their primary place of residence can get a housing rebate on the GST or federal part of the HST. The rebate will reduce GST/HST from 5% to approximately 3.5% for homes valued at $350,000 or less.

In addition to the investments, the Fund will also provide direction and mentoring to the start-up organizations.
              Heritage Place – Property Tax Abatement Various Amounts
              The Heritage Place – Property Tax Abatement Program provides Property tax abatements for owners of heritage properties in New Brunswick to restore and re-use designated historic places. In the first year of the program, the owner of the heritage property will pay property tax on the pre-project assessment. The owner would then be forgiven 75% of the assessment increase during the second year, 50% in the third and 25% in the fourth year.

              A bilingual, paid work experience that provides opportunities for postsecondary students to travel to another province. English-speaking students can work in Quebec or New Brunswick, while French-speaking students can work in a province other than their own.
              NOHC-Investment Grow Stream $1,000,000
              The program provides funding to encourage business productivity as well as expansion in Northern Ontario.
              Small Business Investor Tax Credit Program $500,000
              The Department of Finance is providing up to $125,000 yearly tax credit to encourage investment by New Brunswick residents and corporations in New Brunswick small businesses.

              Work Smarts provides a wage subsidy to employers in Atlantic Canada who hire recent graduates.

              To provide venture capital financing to small and medium-sized Atlantic Canada-based businesses for start-up, expansion, or modernization.
              Women in Business New Brunswick Various Amounts

              To provide financial assistance to aboriginal business owners in Atlantic Canada.
              Startup Fredericton Various Amounts
              Startup Fredericton offers different programs for the entrepreneurs the Cedar Tree Cafe to co-work, connect and network in the centre of Fredericton; Community Enterprise Partnership which hold meetups every two months of startup support stakeholders to share best practices; and Startup Drinks which holds unstructured social event to meet new people, catch up with old friends, and talk about ideas.

              The Innovation Loan encourages business productivity and effectiveness in rural Atlantic Canada by offering finance, up to $150,000, to support the adoption of new technologies and methods for commercial applications, as well as new products or services, training, and counselling.
              Entrepreneurial Leaders Program $10,000
              The Wallace McCain Institute invites a small, exceptional group of high potential entrepreneurs each year for the Entrepreneurial Leaders Program. The class meets once each month for one year. Each session will be two days in length and will be focused on a central topic.
              First Angel Network Various Amounts
              First Angel Network is a network of angel investors. Companies that are deemed investment ready will be provided with the opportunity to present to the full membership of the First Angel Network at quarterly dinner meetings.               The Canada- New Brunswick Job Grant provides training grants of up to $10,000 per trainee per fiscal year to assist employers in providing their choice of employees and new hires with the skills training required to do their jobs. The grant funding for training that is 52 weeks or less for each chosen employee is meant to help employers in increasing employee productivity and skills while increasing retention rates.

              The Business Immigrant Mentorship Program allows immigrant investors in the Fredericton region to learn about Doing Business in New Brunswick.               Build Program $150,000
              The Build Program focuses on later stage startups, and is a 12-week
              training program to develop the entrepreneurial skills required to grow
              the company. There is a strong emphasis on sales and marketing support.&nbsp; The cost of the program is $5,000, payable only if you manage to raise outside funding at the end of the program.<br>
              Propel Accelerator Various Amounts Online accelerator for promising tech start-ups in Atlantic Canada
              Research and Development Tax Credit Various Amounts
              New Brunswick offers a fully refundable tax credit at the rate of 15% of eligible expenditures (experimental development, applied research, basic research, and support work) for New Brunswick corporations to help fund their research activity. The credit can be applied towards the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) expenditures, and is administered by the Canada Revenue Agency.
              Proof of Concept $20,000
              Proof of Concept is one of the four streams of grant programs under Springboard Atlantic’s Innovation Mobilization Program. Proof of Concept grants are meant to be used for accelerating the pre-competitive development of promising technologies. Applicants may seek up to $20,000 per project, including matching funds.
              Marketing Support $25,000
              Marketing Support is one of the four streams of grant programs under Springboard Atlantic’s Innovation Mobilization Program. Marketing Support grants are meant to be used for building and/or developing a prototype of a technology for marketing purposes. Applicants may seek up to $25,000 for market consulting (including matching funds).
              Patent and Legal $15,000
              Patent and Legal is one of the four streams of grant programs under Springboard Atlantic’s Innovation Mobilization Program. Patent and Legal grants, meant to be used for analysis, establishment or strengthening of an early IP or patent position, cover up to $15,000 in project costs, including matching funds.
              UNB-Research Centres and Institutes Various Amounts
              To support entrepreneurial leadership among students, faculty and growth-oriented businesses in New Brunswick by fostering partnerships between the Faculty of Administration at UNB and the business community.
              Venture Capital Fund $5,000
              To aid the development and growth of early stage, innovative companies by offering access to equity capital, business expertise and networking opportunities.
              NBIF Innovation Voucher $80,000
              The NBIF Innovation Voucher Fund encourages collaboration and partnerships between New Brunswick small- and medium-sized enterprises and research organizations to develop a new or improved product, process, or technology. NBIF will fund 80% of the total costs, up to a maximum of $80,000 per project.
              Industry Engagement $15,000
              Industry Engagement is one of the four streams of grant programs under Springboard Atlantic’s Innovation Mobilization Program. The Industry Engagement grants, meant to promote the development of effective regional partnerships with industry, cover up to $15,000 in project costs, including matching funds.
              Agri-Food Market Development Program $15,000
              This program provides assistance to build and enhance New Brunswick domestic market channels to increase the sale and consumption of New Brunswick-produced agri-food products within the province
              Enabling Agricultural Research and Innovation Program $60,000
              The Enabling Agricultural Research and Innovation Program is a Growing Forward 2 (GF2) program that provides grant funding to encourage the growth, profitability, sustainability and self-sufficiency of New Brunswick’s agriculture, agri-food and agri-product sectors. For activities that trigger the development of economic linkages with commercialization partners to broker or develop new value-chains, maximum contribution per project shall not exceed $80,000 per year, and can cover up to 100% of eligible costs. For projects that will primarily benefit an individual agribusiness, farmer or group of farmers, up to 50% funding towards eligible costs may be considered.
              Perennial Crop Establishment Loan Program Various Amounts
              Loan funding is being provided for perennial crop farmers in New Brunswick.
              Wildlife Damage Compensation Program $50,000
              The Program extends its support by offering compensation to agricultural producers in New Brunswick. This compensation is specifically designed to assist those who have encountered the unfortunate situation of crop or livestock losses resulting from wildlife-related incidents.
              New Entrant Farmer Loan Program $750,000
              To provide financial aid to individuals who are new to the agricultural sector.
              Aquaculture Loans and Loan Guarantees Various Amounts
              To provide financial assistance to support activities related to aquaculture production as well as corresponding services.
              AgriInvest Various Amounts
              AgriInvest is one of the business risk management programs the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP)
              New Land Purchase Program Various Amounts
              Allows for applicants to lease eligible land purchased by the
              Agricultural Development Board for a period of up to 6 years. Applicants
              will then purchase the land at the end of the lease.<br>
              Farm Land Identification Program (FLIP) Various Amounts
              The program provides for the deferral of provincial property taxes on eligible farmland and outbuildings to encourage the preservation of real property for agricultural use.
              AgriStability Various Amounts
              Payment support if production margins fall below 70% of the reference margin in a given year.
              Agriculture Loan and Loan Guarantees Various Amounts
              Agriculture, Aquaculture, and Fisheries provide Agriculture Loans and Loan Guarantees to support the sector.
              Self-Employed Lockdown Fund $2,000
              A grant for New Brunswick businesses without employees that were ordered to close under the COVID-19

              To encourage small business activity in rural Atlantic Canada by offering loans for use as an investment in eligible new businesses.
              New Brunswick Student Entrepreneurship $3,000 Loan opportunity for Student Entrepreneurs in New Brunswick.
              Future Entrepreneur Loan $1,500
              Loan opportunity for young entrepreneurs aged 14 to 19 from the Chaleur region.
              Community Investment Fund (CIF) $20,000 Support projects, through non-repayable contributions, that:

              1) Enhance a community’s identity;
              2) Provide economic and social benefits;
              3) Enhance existing community assets; or
              4) Enhance or develop initiatives that strengthen a community.
