How do I become a member of Canada Startups, and access the Startup Platform?

To become a registered member of Canada Startups you can always call us on 1-800-288-9691 and get set up via our phone agents. Alternatively, you can register here for instant access. Once registered, a username and password will be sent to the e-mail address you provided us, to proceed with the steps.

What is included in my membership fee?

As a registered member of Canada Startups you will have 24/7 access to the Small Business Startup Platform for a period of 1 year:

Using your login details, you will be able to:

• follow the Step by Step Business Startup Guide and Timeline;
• use the Interactive Business Plan Builder;
• begin creating your Investor PitchDeck;
• access the Funding Database of government and private funding programs;
• browse, customize and print over 1,500 business documents and templates;
• complete your personalized To-Do lists

The membership fee is a one-time fee for 1 year, which covers your access to the Startup Platform and administrative fees. There are no additional fees associated with the Startup Platform which are mandatory once you’ve paid for your membership.

How do I pay for my membership so I can get started?

To pay for your membership, click “Get my Access Now” to go to the payment page. You may use a credit card, PayPal, or send an e-transfer over to info@canadastartups.org to make your payment.

After a detailed review and focus on these key requirements, our goal is to find relevant funding options to help you cover each of your funding needs.

Can you guarantee that my business will succeed?

Business success does not solely rely on our efforts but the utilized multiple factors, such as your effort, business idea, goals, marketing, and access to funding. Our goal as part of your paid service with us is to work with you and provide you with the needed guidance to make this a success.

Will I need any other tools and/or resources aside from the ones you provide?

Within the Startup Platform, you will have access to all of the tools generally needed by small businesses to get started, along with some additional tools that can be helpful to entrepreneurs when launching their businesses. If your idea is very niche, there may be some specific tools or documents which you may require that are not included in the Portal. If there is a tool you require that you’d like help acquiring, contact us and we’ll see if we can point you in the right direction.

What do you NOT provide me?

Canada Startups provides step-by-step guidance as you start or grow your small business. In addition, our platform tools, resources, and services enable you to have everything you need to succeed.

We DO NOT provide you with:

1. A business idea (but we can work with you to prepare one)
2. Business license (however step by step help is available in getting this done)
3. Funding (Canada Startps is not a lender, but we connect you with multiple funding options)
4. Complete the funding applications for you (however, help question by question)
5. We do not write your business plan for you (unless you are part of the Growth Package)
