Launched back in 2013, the Growing Forward 2 government funding program was a 5 year commitment plan by the Canadian federal, provincial and territorial governments to provide support to the country’s agri-food and agri-based products industry.

As per the Hamilton Spectator, the provincial association that represents the small and independent craft brewers in Ontario is applauding the government for it’s funding support for their industry.

The Canadian provincial and federal governments announced $562,000 in government funding for 9 breweries which include the Ontario Craft Brewers members. Through the $562,000 in the provided government funding, the local craft brewers will be able to create more local jobs and improve the productivity.
